Volunteer

At the very heart of the Project is the befriending/care. Trust is gradually built up between the Carer, Volunteers and Residents who are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions and their lives.

Volunteers have always been an important, integral and indeed essential part of the Project. Volunteers assist and complement the full-time Carers, working evenings and variable shifts at the weekend.

We provide our own induction and training for Volunteers and we also accept and train many placements from seminaries and third level Colleges in the Greater Dublin area. We believe this provides such students with a valuable insight into issues around HIV/AIDS and drugs and the problems in general of Dublin's inner city. The Project, therefore, has an important educational and information role.

Volunteers are always needed and if you feel that you can spare us some of your time please use the “Contact Us” page and we will be pleased to invite you to visit the Project and discuss how you can help.
