History

The Paddy McGrath Housing Project (originally The Aids Fund) was founded in 1987 by Fr. Paddy McGrath, as a company limited by guarantee and a Registered Charity to fund research.

When this role came to be carried out by statutory agencies the Fund, under a new Board of Management, undertook a new role from 1994 in providing housing and care support for those in the later stages of AIDS related illness.

This was in the form of 9 self-contained 1 bedroom apartments and another 15 apartments were added in 2004, bringing the total to date of 24.
